NSBA Branding

During my time at NSBA as the Creative Director of a small design team, I saw an opportunity to lead an overhaul of the association’s brand standards, as well as shape the brand narrative. What we created was a story that went beyond school board meetings, but got to the heart of “why we do what we do.” It’s not just about school board elections and public policy; the heart of the mission begins and ends with our children. We will be there on their first day of school, we will make sure they never go hungry, we will help them push through their hardships, and celebrate their triumphs. We will walk with them across that stage. 

The brand story was built on that emotional connection that pulls people to public service. The face of NSBA is the face of our children.

In order to capture the most authentic and diverse imagery that could tell the brand story, we hired photographers for magazine shoots, website photography, as well as for marketing collateral. Our other resource for beautiful imagery was from the talented photographers at unsplash.com.
